Depending on the selected type of window blind installation, the measurement must be carried out in a different way.

If you choose the invasive installation method (the most common and popular option), you should:

  • width: measure the width of the window recess between the left and right window frames and subtract 3 mm from the obtained dimension. In the adjacent sketch, these are positions A1, A2, and A3. Use the smallest measurement for calculations. In the case of new windows, the measurements are usually the same in all places. Differences in this measurement may occur with older windows.
  • height: marked with the letter B in the sketch, it is the dimension within the window recess between the upper and lower window frames.

If you choose the non-invasive installation method, you should:

  • width: measure the width of the window recess between the left and right window frames and add a total of 4 cm (2 x 2 cm) to the dimension. In the sketch, this measurement is marked with the letter A. You may, of course, add a larger value, but please make sure that in this case the pleated blind will not touch the window handle or other protruding elements. As a standard, we add 2 cm on each side.
  • height: marked with the letter B in the sketch, it is the dimension between the upper and lower edges of the window sash.
